Everyone has a fond love for Cop shows. They take the draining bore out of watching the news and they bring the reality of just how cops really work on crime cases. It takes a lot of time and energy to put together a great Cop show but if it’s executed well, you could be watching your favorite cop show for years to come. 1. Law And Order ha been known to be the most well put together, dramatic cop show to ever hit the television Industry. On Sept 13th, 1990, Law and Order premiered on NBC. The 20th season was finally taped in 2010. For 20 years Law and Order paved the way for other upcoming cop shows.
2. Hill Street Blues is a police drama which kept it pretty simple. It brought the streets to your home through television and it actually kept decent story lines. It was easy to follow and interesting to watch. This show was introduced in the 80′s.
3. Kojack was based in New York and written around the New York police department. The how aired for less than 10 years and was created by Abby Mann. This show was created to portray the grimy New York police department and their casual procedures toward their suspects.
4. Adam 12 was a cop that pin pointed two police officers in Blue. The show was based in Los Angeles and the settings was mostly in their patrol car. This show only ran for about 7 years on NBC before it was taken off the air
5. NYPD Blue was a classic and if you were to ask anyone about this show over 30 years old, then more than likely you will get the same answer. This show aired for the first time in 1993 and it’s final air was in 2005. This show was a police drama that inter mingled different scenarios’ per taping.. NYPD Blue was taped in New York and based around Manhattan Investigations.
