Top Five Comedy Shows of All Time
When you are talking about the history of television, it’s hard to put together an official list on the “Top Five” of any genre. This is especially true when it comes to comedy. The problem with deciding what is “Best” when it comes to comedy is that everyone’s opinion is different on what exactly makes the “Best” shows. While “I Love Lucy” is a classic show, not everyone things that it’s necessarily the “Best of the Genre”. Same goes for a show like “MASH”. “MASH” would no doubt go down as one of the highest rated comedies of all time, but the “Best”? That depends on who you ask.
While “The Simpsons” may be near the top of everyone’s list, even the most die hard fans have to admit that the last four or five seasons haven’t been the best of the lot. How about shoes like “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “Friends”? Extremely popular shows, but not everyone was a fan of them. And where exactly would you place a show like “Frasier” on the list? Few people know that the show won the most Emmy Awards of any comedy in television history. Does that make it a “Top 5 Show”? Again, it depends on who you ask.
